Additional Description The Housing Authority of the City of Hartford (the “Authority”) is soliciting responses from vendors to provide Uniform Physical Condition Standards inspections (“Inspections”) to cover approximately 988 units of low income public housing in the City of Hartford, Connecticut (the “Units”). The Authority expects that 100% of all units as well as common areas, building mechanicals, grounds and envelopes will be covered by the Inspections. The Authority is also soliciting for potential Inspection training. The training would be for up to 35 individuals. Vendors are free to respond to either training or actual inspections or both. Respondents answering for the training piece should provide a per person cost for up to 35 individuals. The Authority may or may not utilize the training. Respondents are required to include a fixed price proposal to provide the services, a brief narrative description of the respondent’s company and experience providing similar services and 3 references from customers respondent has served similarly in the last five years. Respondents must also specify their anticipated availability and timelines from start of inspections to release of report. The Authority fully understands the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and does not expect vendors to commit to a particular start date. Timelines are estimates of time to complete and deliver a report once inspections are started. Statements of availability are general statements subject to change as the pandemic passes. In addition to the requirements described above, respondents must acknowledge that the terms of the attached purchase order rider are acceptable. Those terms will be a part of any purchase order between the vendor and the Authority. No exceptions are allowed to the purchase order rider terms. Responses are due back to the Authority in the form of electronic responses to this email by no later than 2 PM, Thursday, March 26, 2020.
