The Torrington Public Schools is looking for a vendor to perform work for the
Roof-Replacement PROJECT at Torrington Middle School. All interested vendors should attend a pre-bid meeting on February 13, 2020 @ 2:00 pm at the school’s Media Center. Drawings and Specifications will be available at the Pre-Bid conference and afterwards at the Business Office, 355 Migeon Ave, Torrington, CT. A non-refundable deposit of $25.00, payable to the Torringrton Board of Education for each set of Bid Documents will be required. Bids will be accepted until March 6, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Business Office, 355 Migeon Avenue, Torrington, CT 06790. Technical questions should be directed to Joseph S. Prevailing Wage Rates and Bond requirements included in the Bid Documents, shall apply to the project.
All bidders shall hold a current “DAS Contractor Prequalification Certificate” (not a predetermination letter) from the Department of Administrative Services of the State of Connecticut in accordance with Connecticut General Statue Sections 4a 100, 4b-101 and 4b-91. The required DAS prequalification classification for this project is Roofing. Bidders shall submit with their bids, unless noted otherwise, a “DAS Contractor Prequalification Certificate” along with a current “Update (bid) Statement” Any bid submitted without a copy of the DAS Prequalification Certificate and an Update (Bid) Statement shall be invalid. Pre-bid Meeting will be held in the Library Media Center.
In the case where BOEd-Schools are closed for weather related or other emergency related circumstances, then the Pre-bid meeting shall be held at 3:00:pm the next day when BOEd offices/schools reopens. If BOEd offices/schools are closed on the bid due date, bids shall be due, no later than 11:00 a.m. on the next business day. |
