Project Description:
The Boiler Plant Equipment & Utility Tunnel Connection – Package #1 project includes the installation of new 125-pound steam express condensate and associated ancillary support systems within the existing North Campus Utility Tunnel, Cogen Facility and Heating Plant (Boiler Building). Incidental removal and replacement of existing tunnel utilities to allow installation of new steam/condensate piping. Construction of new exterior pipe chase at the Cogen Facility. Demolition of existing boilers, boiler support utility connections, asbestos abatement, structural demolition and replacement of firing floor structure/slab to support Package #2 Boiler Replacement Project. Temporary utilities to maintain services to existing campus buildings Trades include: utilities and earthwork; concrete foundations and fill on metal deck; structural steel frame, metal deck, stairs, and other miscellaneous metals; roofing and waterproofing work; metal siding, general trades package, fire protection; plumbing work; HVAC;, site and building electrical work,; paving and landscaping work.
Budget for Bid Packages:
The overall project budget is $25M. The trades that require project-specific prequalification in this second round are:
