ADDENDUM NO. 1
October 9, 2019
Request for information:
Question 1: After Discussions with the closest approved dumping location located in Rochester NH. The landfill manager informed me they are just about at allowable capacity for the year and would not be able to take the 2700 tons until next year. Would this work be able to start early January? It would provide transportation cost savings to the town.
Answer
Bidders must identification of the proposed disposal facility as required in the bid documents. The contractor should identify if the intended permitted disposal facility has schedule limitations or requirements for acceptance. The town is interested in identifying potential cost savings. The town does not anticipate award and contract signing prior to mid-December, the town would approve a short time extension to begin work as necessary to meet scheduling issues.
Question 2: The town will provide labor and material to load the soil will they also be providing the sedimentation/erosion control around the load site with proper cover and daily weather protection of soil from rain, snow, etc.
Answer
The town will provide all ground-based work including S&EC, daily cover and protection and site cleanup. The contractor shall provide trucking and disposal.
