- The Town of Andover has decided to hire a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to assist the Town with this project and provide air quality monitoring during any work. Pending the report and recommendations of the CIH, the Town Building Official may condemn the shed rooms and issue a Demolish order. At this point, the Town will delay the closing date for the RFP until 14 days after the Town has either a demolition order and AWP (alternative work practice) submitted to the CT DPH or an asbestos abatement workplan for the structures in the RFP. The contractors that attended the pre-bid meeting will be notified when that information is available.
