  • ADDENDUM NO. 3 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: Surveillance Security System for Horace W. Porter School Columbia, CT Solicitation Number 2019-1 DATE: 07/11/19 To All Potential Bidders: The following questions have been received from organizations indicating intent to bid on the Surveillance Security System for Horace W. Porter School Columbia, CT Solicitation Number 2019-1. Through this web page, these questions and the Town of Columbia’s answers are made available to all bidders. Questions & Answers Q1. The statement of work says the contractor is supplying and installing all the cable, yet at the walk through we were told all cable was already installed. Which is correct? A2. All cabling has already been installed from the data closets to the approximate location of the cameras. The Cat. 6 cable has been terminated on both ends and tested. To view the photo of the typical wiring at the camera locations please go to the Town of Columbia website www.columbiact.org and click on RFPs/RFQs/Bids tab. Q2. The statement of work says the contractor must supply all necessary networking equipment yet at the walk through we were told that all switches, etc. were already there. Exactly what network equipment do we need to supply? A2. No network equipment will need to be supplied other than the NVR for video storage. All switches needed for this project will be supplied and programmed by the Town of Columbia and the Board of Education with support from our IT vendor. Q3. There are 36 3.0-H4A-D1-IR-B on the statement of work list but 37 on the list on the print. Which Is correct? A3. 36 3.0-H4A-D1-IR-B is the correct number. Q4. The statement of work list has 4, 180-degree cameras and 5, 270-degree cameras, but the list on the print and the print has 5, 180-degree and 4, 270-degree. Which is correct? A4. 5-180 degree and 4-270 degree is the correct count. Q5.How many workstations do we need to install the software on? A5. 3 workstations. Q6. The answers to the questions will be posted by 4 pm Friday but the proposals are due by 4 pm Monday. This seems onerous, the proposals would then be required to be hand delivered on Monday. Can the due date be extended to Tuesday so they can be shipped? Q6. All questions will have been answered prior to Friday at 4 pm. The Monday 4 pm deadline will remain in effect.

Instructions MANDATORY WALKTHROUGH The Town will hold a walkthrough of the Horace Porter School on July 8, 2019 at 10:00 am. The Horace Porter School is located at 3 Schoolhouse Rd., Columbia, CT. Proposals submitted by vendors that did not attend the walkthrough shall be rejected.
