Additional Description On-Call Energy Consultants will be providing engineering / consulting services to undertake energy conservation retrofit projects for HVAC and lighting systems along with their associated controls and energy management systems, perform retro-commissioning, analyze and design systems with improved efficiency, and verify savings results post-construction. Consultants will also provide feasibility studies, project development support, design and operation verification for renewable energy projects, such as photovoltaic (PV), solar thermal, fuel cell, or wind turbine systems. Consultants will also provide operational evaluation and economic analyses for district heating and cooling systems, energy plant and customer exchange facilities. Selected Firms shall have a minimum of five years of experience providing energy consulting services for large institutional or governmental building owners. The firm should have significant experience providing energy conservation projects on public, institutional and/or other similarly complex site and building settings from analysis through verification. They should have extensive knowledge of the types of systems currently installed and in use at state facilities. Firms shall have extensive experience in preparing designs for HVAC systems, lighting, and building automation and control systems. Firms shall have extensive experience in the development and implementation of renewable energy projects, including (PV), solar thermal, fuel cell, and other renewable system installations. Firms shall have extensive experience with district heating and cooling systems, including analysis of system operations and economics.
