HTHW Manhole #1S Replacement
Project Number: ECSU 2018-11
Project Description:
This project consists of the replacement of the existing metal high temperature hot water service manhole with cast-in place manhole. Included in the scope of work is also new high temperature hot water connection between this manhole and a classroom building, named Webb Hall, including installation of new piping in the mechanical room connected to the existing heat exchanger. Also included is the replacement of the existing shut off valves in a separate manhole which is part of high temperature hot water system. Site work will include earth excavation and replacement of bituminous sidewalk with concrete sidewalk and related site restoration items.
This bid is restricted to State of Connecticut Registered and Certified Small and Minority Owned Businesses.
There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid conference on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. at the facilities conference room, 2nd floor, facilities building, Charter Oak Road, Willimantic, CT. Late arrivals of 10 minutes or more will not be given credit for attendance or allowed to sign in.

Sealed proposals will be received in Gelsi-Young Hall Rm 344, Eastern Road, Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic, CT 06226 until 2:00 p.m. on the date shown above.
The successful qualified low bidder on this project must submit an Affirmative Action Plan. The plan must be filed within fifteen days after a bid has been accepted by the awarding agency.
The awarding authority reserves the right to waive technical defects or to reject any and all bids.
