Additional Description Notice is hereby given that The Metropolitan District (MDC) is inviting companies to submit bids for Solicitation Number 2019B-05 to provide Brass and Copper fittings, tubes, corps, couplings and other materials associated with water and sewer repairs. Sealed bids will be received by the MDC no later than 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on February 12, 2019 at the Office of the District Clerk, as specified below. Sealed proposals must be delivered, as specified in the ITB to: Solicitation Number: 2019B-05 Office of the District Clerk The Metropolitan District 555 Main Street Hartford, CT 06103-2987 Potential offerors must register on the MDC eBid Site; once registered, the solicitation can be downloaded at www.ebidexchange.com/mdc. The solicitation can also be viewed in person at MDC Headquarters at 555 Main St., Hartford, CT by making an appointment with the District Clerk at 860.278.7850, Ext. 3207. All questions or requests for information regarding this RFI must be submitted in writing via email, with the subject line ITB #2019B-05, to Cliff Akerley, Contract Specialist, at cakerley@themdc.com no later than 4:00 PM (local time) on January 31, 2019. Questions must be received no later than that date and time; questions received after that date and time will not be answered prior to the submittal due date. Bidders are invited to be present at the opening of bids. Sealed bids received by the MDC will be opened at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on February 12, 2019 at the MDC Headquarters, located at 555 Main Street, Hartford, CT. The purpose of the bid opening is to reveal names of all bidders and to ascertain the apparent low bidder, not to serve as a forum for awarding the contract and/or to discuss the basis for awarding the contract. Only the total dollar summary will be read during the opening. A comparison of bids will be published on eBid within 48 business hours of the bid opening.
