Additional Description City of Groton, Connecticut Department of Utilities Request for Qualification Professional Service for Forestry Inventory and Management The City of Groton, Department of Utilities (GU), is seeking the services of a Contractor for technical assistance with the preparation of a Forestry Inventory and Management Plan (“FIMP”) for its watershed properties. It is the intent of GU to generate, through this process, a comprehensive Forestry Management Plan that includes an inventory of its existing forest areas and a plan for its future management, including but not limited to,corresponding financials. Request for Qualification statements for the above work will be received at the Project Management Office of the Department of Utilities, 1240 Poquonnock Road, Groton,Connecticut 06340 until 1:00 p.m., prevailing time, on Friday, November 30, 2018 at which place and time statement will be reviewed in accordance with the attached Request For Qualification. A mandatory project review will be conducted at the GU Operations Complex Conference Room (1240 Poquonnock Road, Groton, CT 06340) on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). Subsequent to the review, those wishing to conduct a field inspection of the existing forested watershed areas will be accompanied by GU staff through the primary reservoir areas, through which any future trees harvested will be moved through interior access roads. Request for Qualification packages are attached or are available at the Project Management office of the Department of Utilities, at the above address, between 8:00a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.
