TOWN OF SOUTH WINDSOR
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Town of South Windsor will receive sealed proposals for implementation of Area 4, Phase 1; Area 3, Phase 3; Area 2, Phase 3 and Area 1 Phase 4 services to clear vegetation within sanitary sewer easements in accordance with the Town’s Vegetation Management Plan (VMP) which can be viewed at http://www.southwindsor.org/pollution-control - Sanitary Sewer Easement Vegetation Management Plan (VMP). Proposals must be submitted to the Office of the Town Manager, Town Hall, and 1540 Sullivan Avenue, South Windsor, CT by 1:00 p.m. prevailing local time, October 9, 2018. Proposals submitted after this time will not be accepted. Each Proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope, the outside of which must be clearly marked “RFP Vegetation Management – Area 1, Phase 4; Area 2, Phase 3; Area 3, Phase 2; Area 4, Phase 1.”
The work includes, but is not limited to vegetation maintenance activities along cross country sewer easements involving land clearing, hand cutting, side trimming, stump grinding, cut and stump treatment, mist blower foliar, backpack foliar, and field mowing. A pre-bid meeting at 1 Vibert Road is scheduled for October 5, 2018 at 10:00 am. All bidders are encouraged to attend.
Copies of the Request for Proposal Documents may be examined and obtained at the Department of Public Works, Town Hall, 1540 Sullivan Avenue, South Windsor, CT, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on every working day. Each contractor must deposit with his proposal a bid security in the form acceptable to the Town in the amount of not less than ten (10) percent of the total bid price.
No proposal may be withdrawn within ninety (90) days after the actual date of submittal.
The Town of South Windsor, Connecticut reserves the right to waive any informalities, and the right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or additional bids.
